Debbie Triber and her friend Linda are celebrating their 60th birthdays with a trip to New York City and brand new looks!
The pair were chosen to receive makeovers from Today Show correspondents Louis Licari and Jill Martin as part of the program's popular "Ambush Makeovers" segment.
Spotted on the plaza with a group of six girlfriends — and holding signs reading, "Six in the City: 60 this year, please make me look 50" — both ladies acknowledged they're relatively low maintenance when it comes to their daily beauty routines.
Debbie was up first and revealed she doesn't wear much makeup, occasionally coloring her hair when she sees grays. "All her life she's been taking care of everybody else," Linda, her best friend since second grade, shared of why her pal deserves a glam treatment.
Given lighter highlights and a shorter 'do, Debbie's group of friends were stunned when she emerged. "I'm a blonde!" she exclaimed after seeing her new hair "Thank you!"
Linda was next and Debbie was quick to gush, "There's nothing she wouldn't drop and do for anybody." After choosing not to color her hair for three months, she wanted a sexy 'do for her upcoming trip to Jamaica.
When she stepped out — in a dress two sizes smaller than she had predicted — her friends gasped at her now red hair before shouting, "Whoa! You look so beautiful!"
