Though they exchanged "I Do's" more than a month ago, the gown Sophie Hunter wore to marry Benedict Cumberbatch has been revealed — and it's absolutely gorgeous!
For their lavish Valentine's Day nuptials, the pregnant 37-year-old bride donned a couture wedding dress designed by Valentino. In a newly released photo by the fashion house, Sophie can be seen wearing the bespoke silver lace dress at a fitting captured by photographer Annie Leibovitz for 'Vogue' magazine.

According to 'Vogue,' the theater director — who announced she is expecting her first child with husband Benedict, 38, last January — presented Valentino couturiers with "mood boards" during a three-hour meeting to design her one-of-a-kind gown before the wedding.

The end result was a non-traditional silver dress embroidered with vines and pomegranates, which Valentino reportedly created in half the amount of time he usually takes to make a custom gown.
"It seemed to encapsulate everything I'd been speaking about," Sophie told the magazine. "It feels very much of nature, and it's so detailed and extraordinary that I'm still trying to get my head around how beautiful it is."

Valentino also presented the bride with a matching silk velvet cape for her big day in case it rained. 'Vogue' also allegedly revealed 'The Imitation Game' star's wife considered wearing a veil that belonged to another family member, but ultimately went without it.
Sophie isn't the first bride to don custom Valentino at their wedding as Anne Hathaway, Courteney Cox and Jennifer Lopez similarly chose the designer to create their gowns.
