All of Barbra Streisand's pets are beloved, but two of her adorable pooches are extra special in the singer's eyes. During a new interview with Variety, Barbra, 75, revealed two of her dogs, Miss Violet and Miss Scarlett, are actually exact clones of her late pup, Samantha.

Before Samantha, a Coton du Tulear, passed away at age 14 in 2017, the Funny Girl actress had cells taken from the dog's mouth and stomach, she explained. Barbra then used the cells to create two clone pets — quite the pricey procedure, according to People — of Samantha.

"They have different personalities. I'm waiting for them to get older so I can see if they have [Samantha's] brown eyes and seriousness," Barbra said of Miss Violet and Miss Scarlett. The songstress is also a proud pet parent to a third Coton du Tulear, who is a distant cousin to Samantha.

During a past interview, Barbra opened up about Samantha's passing and revealed her death was far worse than she expected it to be. "She was always with me; the last 14 years she went everywhere I went. She was at every performance. It was like losing a child. It was kind of awful," she confessed.

"She's the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen. She's like the daughter I never hand. She speaks English. She understands English, I swear to God. She always comes with us [when we travel]. I would never leaver her," Barbra said of Samantha in a 2013 interview.

Today, Barbra is so in love with her three adorable pups and often shares photos of her beloved pets with her nearly 650,000 Instagram followers. In early January, the star posted a pic of her pooches wearing matching T-shirts with the caption, "Happy New Year from my three girls… Pink, Blue, and Violet." So cute!
