Life seems to be pretty sweet for the original Bachelorette, Trista Sutter.

In 2003, Trista met her future husband, Ryan Sutter, 40, on the first season of the hit ABC reality show ‘The Bachelorette’ and the couple wed in a lavish, televised ceremony that December.

“I went on ‘The Bachelorette’ because I wanted to have fun — and it was! It was a life-changing experience for me,” Trista, 42, said of starring on the show in an exclusive interview with ‘Closer.’

“I’m proud of [how] we met. I love what we have [the show] as our history. I feel like we were just meant to be,” she added.

Since then, the couple — who have been married for 11 years! — have welcomed two children, a son Max, 7, and a daughter, Blakesley, 5, and relocated their family to Vail, Colo.

“Every year we love each other more. We’ve been through hard times, where we’re not getting along and life is rough. But every year we realize how lucky we are that we’ve been able to be together this long,” Trista told ‘Closer.’
