What a wonderful gift — just in time for Mother's Day!
To thank his mom for all she's done for him throughout his life and career as an actor, Ashton Kutcher decided to give her a huge surprise — by remodeling his parents' basement!

“It’s my way of saying thank you to my mom,” Ashton, 37, said in a new video for the app 'Houzz,' which he's also invested in. “My mom has been the greatest influence in my life — my parents gave me everything. They went to great sacrifices to give me the life that I have and anything I can do to say thank you is the right thing.”
While the 'Two and a Half Men' star's mom, Diane, was helping his fiancée, actress Mila Kunis, care for their newborn daughter in LA, Ashton and his step-father, Mark, transformed the Homestead, Iowa home's basement from a man cave into a relaxing space for his mom to enjoy.

“Oh, this is beautiful,” Diane said when Ashton and Mark showed her the new space, which included an open-style kitchen, sitting area, guest room for grandchildren and an upscale pantry to store her homemade salsa.
"Being able to do this for my mom is like a life-long dream," Ashton said. "I don't know that there's anything I can ever do that really says thank you, but trying sure feels good."
