Ashley Judd announced her separation from Dario Franchitti in January — but in an exclusive interview with Closer, her mother Naomi Judd explains how a near-tragedy has brought the couple of 12 years back together.

Immediately, Ashley shifted her priorities to care for him. “Ashley is a magnificent nurse. She has so much compassion,” Naomi says, adding that her daughter has been “a pit bull” taking care of Dario. “It was such a relief to see him when he finally came to the farm.”
And this time around, it looks like Ashley has no plan to let go.
