More than four years after his separation, Arnold Schwarzenegger is dishing on his divorce — and revealed he has a "terrific" relationship with son Joseph, whom he fathered with his former housekeeper while married to Maria Shriver.
During an interview with Howard Stern on his radio show earlier this week, the 67-year-old actor admitted his split from Maria, 59, has been the biggest failure of his life. "Without any doubt. Not only failure, but you feel like, 'I'm to blame for it. It was me that screwed up,'" he said.

In May 2011, Arnold and Maria announced their separation after 25 years of marriage when it was revealed the Terminator Genisys star had secretly welcomed a son, Joseph Baena, now 17, in 1997 with his family's housekeeper, Mildred Baena.

Shortly after announcing their breakup, Maria moved out of their California mansion and the couple underwent marriage counseling — a decision Arnold regrets to this day.
"It was absolutely counterproductive to our future relationship... I don't have to go through anyone to have him explain to me anything... I apologized to Maria. I apologized to the kids," he said of going to therapy.

As for his relationship with his children today? "It is fantastic, including my fifth child with Mildred," he said, referring to his four kids with Maria: Katherine, 25, Christina, 23, Patrick, 21, and Christopher, 17.
"[Joseph is] terrific and he totally understands the situation. So, it all has worked out... It's a very tough situation for him. It's a very tough situation for my kids, very tough situation for my family. It was tough for everybody. But it has happened and now we have to figure it out, right?" he said during his sit-down with Howard on Wednesday, June 24.
