In a new interview at Harvard University, Ali MacGraw confessed she was paid a mere $20,000 to star in the beloved 1970 movie Love Story opposite Ryan O'Neal.
Though the paycheck seems miniscule compared to the earnings of today's Hollywood leading ladies — Jennifer Lawrence was paid a reported $15 million to star in 2015's Joy — Ali, 76, said her Love Story salary was a "lot of money" for her as she was a mostly unknown actress at the time.

According to Page Six, Ryan, 74, joked his paycheck from the movie didn't even cover his alimony payments after he divorced his first wife, Leigh Taylor-Young, in 1973.
