Alan Thicke’s Wife Tanya Callau Reveals She and the Late Actor Planned to Have a Baby Before His Death

A heartbreaking new detail about Alan Thicke’s death has been revealed.

In a candid new interview, the late actor’s wife, Tanya Callau, confessed she and Alan were hoping to have their first baby before his tragic December 2016 passing.

Tanya, 41, told TMZ that she and Alan decided to freeze her eggs three years ago and planned to get pregnant after the Growing Pains star’s youngest son, Carter Thicke, 19, moved out.

The Bolivian-born actress and model — who is 28 years younger than her late husband — further revealed she and Alan had an architect visit their Santa Barbara, CA home last December to draw up plans for a nursery. Weeks later, Alan sadly died at age 69 after suffering a heart attack while playing hockey with Carter in Burbank, CA.

In addition to Carter, Alan has two older sons, Brennan Thicke, 42, and singer Robin Thicke, 40, with his first wife Gloria Loring. He welcomed Carter with second wife Gina Tolleson in 1997.

The actor tied the knot with wife wife Tanya in 2005, six years after the two met while both working in Miami.

Tanya’s baby confession comes in the wake of Alan’s sons Brennan and Robin filing a lawsuit against their stepmother for allegedly trying to change the terms of her prenup after Alan’s death.

The brothers additionally alleged Tanya threatened to release private family information to the media if she wasn’t given a larger share of the star’s estate.

However, Tanya’s lawyer refuted Brennan and Robin’s claims in a statement released on Thursday, May 18. “It is clear that Alan’s sons have chosen this distasteful public smear tactic to bully Tanya,” her attorney, Adam Streisand, said.

“Tanya is still grieving the death of her beloved husband and out of respect for Alan’s memory intends to handle his son’s false statements privately,” the statement concluded.
